Introducing Our New “Under the Weather” Form
We know there are days when your child isn’t feeling 100%, but is still eager to give the school day a good go.
To help us support your child on these days, we are pleased to introduce our Lower School ‘Under the Weather’ Form.
Why use this form?
Sharing this information ahead of time allows our medical and pastoral teams to monitor your child closely and act quickly if things change. It replaces ad-hoc emails and phone calls, ensuring the right staff members are updated before the school day begins.
When to submit a form:
Please complete this form before the start of the school day if your child is experiencing minor issues such as:
-
Minor ailments: Mild headaches, stomach aches, or fatigue
-
Minor injuries: Bumps, bruises, or sprains needing monitoring
-
Medication: Recent doses taken at home or needed during the day
-
Anxiety or worry: Anything emotionally affecting their morning
How it helps:
Students with injuries
If your child has an injury which may affect their mobility around school (particularly if they are using crutches) please could you telephone school, as a risk assessment may be required before they return. Thank you.
Information Regarding School Closures
In the event of the decision being made not to open school, due to extreme weather or other circumstances, a message will be sent via our parent communications system to announce the closure. Information will be posted on the school website and on the Highfields Facebook page.
