Welcome to Flamingo Paperie

The PTFA is raising money through the sale of cards and craft items via the Flamingo Paperie company. There are some fantastic cards and gifts available. Plus, a minimum of 20% of the sale price goes straight to the PTFA.

Christmas cards sales also support the following charities:

Together for short lives

Macmillan cancer support.

Please share the link with friends and family, so we can raise plenty of money for school and these terrific charities. https://www.flamingopaperie.co.uk/web/highfieldsptfa

Highfields Parents, Teachers & Friends Association

The Highfields Parents, Teachers & Friends Association (PTFA) is a voluntary group of parents/carers, teachers and friends who meet approximately six times per year to plan fundraising events for the benefit of the school and all of its students.

Being part of the PTFA is a good way of meeting other parents/carers, gaining an insight into what is happening at school, and having a say on how the money we raise is spent.  The PTFA have raised funds for a wide variety of projects around school including buying new sports equipment for the PE department, a video camera for the dance and drama departments, books for the school libraries and to support the lower school lunchtime cookery clubs.

The PTFA is friendly group and most of the meetings are held at Designate@The Gate on Smedley Street in Matlock, over a cup of tea and a slice of cake.  The PTFA particularly welcome new members, with fresh ideas, to join meetings.  If you would like to get involved, either on the committee or as a volunteer at events, please email ptasecretary@highfields.derbyshire.sch.uk for more information, or leave your details in an envelope, labelled ‘for the PTFA‘, at the school office on either site.

Our first meeting of the year is a social event to welcome everyone back and to meet anyone that is interested in getting involved.  This will be taking place on Thursday 30th September at 6.30pm at Designate on Smedley Street.

The PTFA appreciate the support given and look forward to welcoming you to their next meeting

Fundraising

The PFTA has signed up to easyfundraising.

There are over 4,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation – including eBay, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, Booking.com and M&S – and it won’t cost you a penny extra to help us raise funds.

All you need to do is:

  1. Go to Highfields School Matlock PFTA Fundraising | Easyfundraising and join for free.
  1. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.
  2. After you’ve checked out, the retailer will make a donation to Highfields School Matlock PFTA at no extra cost to you whatsoever!

There are no catches or hidden charges and we will be really grateful for your donations, especially as our opportunities to raise funds have been very much reduced over the last year.

Thank you for your support.

Green Envelope Scheme

Every year we send out a letter asking for monetary donations, via our green envelope scheme.

The PTFA can claim back Tax Relief through giftaid thus boosting the amount raised by 28p for every £1 given, for the projects and equipment we fund.

Bids

Any school department interested in applying for funds from the PTFA for a particular project can find details of how to apply on the shared area.
