Beautiful Bordeaux!
Highfield students spent four nights in the capital of the Aquitaine. We stayed in the centrally located Meininger Hotel and from there ventured out across the city on foot, covering an average of ten miles a day! Highlights Included language lessons in small groups delivered by native speakers, a guided sightseeing tour of Bordeaux which has the largest area of buildings in France that have World Heritage status and a visit to the Musée des Beaux Arts. As you can see the students particularly enjoyed paddling in the Miroir d’Eau. We had lunch in the Jardin Public in the sunshine and bought luscious fruit at the Capucins market. A river cruise enabled students to see the heritage sites from a different view point.
