Hot on the heels of our sixth form successes last week we are celebrating more great results and exciting destinations with our Y11 students. To name just a few Samson, Pearl, Robbie, Sam and Rosena have done brilliantly to achieve top GCSE grade averages of 8 or above. Lots of students have made excellent progress over the past 5 years, including stand out performances from Caitlin, Xanthe, Jack, Ralph, Megan and Charles. Ellie, Adam and Ethan have also impressed us hugely with their progress. We are delighted that well over 100 of our Y11s will be joining our 6th form next year with many others going on to top quality destinations including apprenticeships, specialist Performing Arts courses and college. They have been a wonderful cohort to work with bringing energy, commitment and kindness to our school community. This success is testament to their sustained hard work along with the support of staff and families.
Outgoing Head of Year Jane Hughes said, ‘It was a privilege to support such a talented group of young people for the last five years. They should be immensely proud of their hard work and achievements and I wish them every success in their post-16 adventures.’
Headteacher Andrew Marsh said, ‘This year group were wonderful and owe so much to Jane Hughes and Tina Green, their year team, who are moving onto new adventures themselves. We wish all of the students and their departing staff the very best for the future’.
