A Levels Results Day

Highfields A level results power up the nuclear engineers of the future!

Once again the amazing sixth formers at Highfields School have made great progress in their A-levels with some superb results leading to exciting destinations.  Alex is heading to Cambridge to study mathematics, Leona is going to medical school and Ella will be a high-flying nursing student having achieved straight A* grades. They represent a strong academic tradition of Highfields students going to Russell Group universities.

An increased focus on degree and higher apprenticeships has led to several students gaining places in very highly competitive fields.  Out of many thousands of, two Highfields students have been successful in securing a much-coveted place on Rolls-Royce’s prestigious degree apprenticeship scheme, with Lucy joining their commercial team, and Cole joining the nuclear-engineering programme.  Gaining a degree apprenticeship always involves showing great character and commitment beyond the classroom and these students, along with so many others in sixth form, contributed a great deal to the school and the local community.  Director of sixth form Martin Flett said, “They have been a fantastic cohort of students and we have hugely enjoyed their positive energy and commitment”. #wearehighfields
