Highfields on Tour
The Hispanists are off to Madrid in February.
Ms Shaw (Head of Spanish) is taking some students and two staff on a cultural visit to the Spanish capital.
Highlights include visits to the Estadio Bernabeu and Las Ventas, the most prestigious bullring in the world. We will also visit some of Madrid’s celebrated parks, including the Retiro and the Casa del Campo. Gastronomic delights will include a trip to the market, dinners in local restaurants and a cookery class.
Students will also spend a day in Segovia with its Roman aqueduct to understand more about the history and architecture of Spain. For the culture vultures an afternoon at the Reina Sofia art gallery will be memorable.
