School Trip to Aachen
27th November to 1st December.
Mr. Kirk is again leading our visit to the fascinating city of Aachen in Germany. Forty-one students accompanied by four staff will travel overnight to this ancient city which is at the crossroads of Europe. For many the main attraction of Aachen will be the famous Christmas market which stretches over three squares in the city. For others the opportunity to visit the stunning cathedral built by the Father of Europe, Charlemagne, will be a highlight. We will have a walking tour of the city as well as time to sample all the delights a traditional German Christmas market has to offer. In addition, we will venture to Monschau near the Belgian border. It’s known for its medieval center, with half-timbered houses and narrow cobblestone streets. Just let’s hope it doesn’t snow!
