I am very proud to let you all know about the amazingly talented Daisy's recent success! Year 11 Daisy, who has just sat her Drama and Music GCSE’s whilst taking part in the school show rehearsals and auditioning for other opportunities, has been given an incredible opportunity that could just be her big break! Having already performed as Young Fiona on the ’Shrek: The Musical’ UK Tour and sang with musical theatre boy band ‘Collabro’ in Sheffield, Daisy already has impressive credits for a 15 year old student. Let’s not forget she was also the lead female in our own rendition of Footloose in July 2018, where she brought the house down each night with her excellent, professional performance. However, excitingly for Daisy, she has an important fixture in her busy performing schedule before starring in this years musical of Legally Blonde as ‘Margot’.
On June 30th Daisy will perform in a London West End Theatre. Daisy recently auditioned to sing in Danielle Hope’s concert at The Other Palace in London and has been successful! She will sing alongside Danielle (Dorothy in Wizard of Oz - made famous on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s search for a Dorothy TV programme) in her intimate ’Sunday Favourites’ concert. This concert is one in a series of Lambert Jackson Production exclusive solo concerts, featuring some of the biggest names in theatre. Danielle Hope was the winner of the BBC talent contest ‘Over The Rainbow’ and as a result played the part of Dorothy in the Andrew Lloyd Webber Production of The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium in 2011. She has since starred as Eponine in Les Miserables and Sandy in Grease.
This is an incredible opportunity for Daisy, which is exceptionally well deserved. We wish her every bit of luck for the concert on Sunday 30th June, and for her future in performing. We know she’ll be so successful! Break a leg, Daisy!
